April Walker creator of the legendary brand Walker Wear and how she is protecting it.

April Walker is no newbie to the fashion game, she has been creating and being as stylish as could be since she was a teen in high school. She created Walker Wear brand because she felt like something was missing in hip-hop. When the Golden era of hip-hop rolled around and the street wear began to change, she had to show the world what she could create. Brooklyn Born and raised she was right in the pot of bold and bright colors and patterns, the jackets were a statements and the sneaks had to match. April Walker found her voice through the it all.




“I grew up in love with music.” She concluded she wanted to be involved in the world of hip hop the moment she heard the beat drop, and it was a no-brainer just the route she needed to take—fashion. “When hip hop music came on the scene, I had a natural affinity for it,” she explains. “Fashion is such a form of self-expression like music, but we didn’t have many alternatives outside of Dapper Dan and a few others that were starting out, so I decided to create.” BET News


Recently April Walker had to Filed a complaint Last month (August 20th) against the Brand Off White led by for "Federal and State Copyright and trademark infringement". She has provided all her kind of written and picture credit for this case, like the picture of biggie BTS of the Crush on you video. It is pretty obvious Walker Wear has be around for years and is a original fresh creative wear for hip-hop not an hijacked style that a lot of these designers claim as there own.




In March, Walker wrote an essay for The Fashion Bomb Daily, where she blasted Off-White’s lead creative director Virgil Abloh and other “big fashion house creative looters that do drive-bys and steal derivative works and original designs from independent designers that actually birth originality.” Vibe Magazine
